If you live in Canada you know that a new government has been elected in. You know that this means a change for Canada, a starting over if you will. But how does a change in a country relate to a change in you? Simple. All we need to do is look at a bigger picture.
As life been difficult? Has the start of holiday season got you off track? Have you been missing workouts or maybe you just haven't been as dedicated to a healthy lifestyle as you would like to be. Perhaps you just aren't feeling your best. What is the solution? Start anew. Forget what you have been doing. Forget that you bought the box of candy for Halloween but have already finished it. Forget that you overate during Thanksgiving. Forget that you skipped the past 3 weeks at the gym. Start fresh. Start new.
Sit down and ask yourself what do you want. How do you want to feel? How do you want to be? What is going to get you to these goals?
Start slow if you need to, or if you are like me jump in completely and do it all. Find your supports. Reach out for help. Plan your meals, Prepare them ahead of time. Just start with 10 minutes of exercise and if you feel good after that keep going. Nothing has to be as big as a new party leading a country but every small change counts for something.
